In January, 2008 ExxonMobil was awarded an important victory when the New York Supreme Court, Nassau County, ruled in its favor in a lawsuit brought by the Plainview Water District. Nextpoint played a vital role in the PWD victory, and continues to support ExxonMobil in ongoing MTBE litigation. |

Verizon WirelessNextpoint supported Verizon Wireless in a landmark IP litigation in 2007. In a victory for Verizon, a federal jury in Alexandria, Va. ruled that Vonage pay Verizon $58 million for damages and 5.5% in future royalties for its unauthorized use of Verizon’s voice over IP (VoIP) patents. The verdict helped preserve the huge investment that Verizon has made in the research and development of VoIP–a technology that is poised to replace traditional phone lines. Verizon has again selected Nextpoint's evidence management support for ongoing VoIP cases in 2008. |
