eDiscovery and Litigation support leader acquires modern deposition transcript platform to integrate platforms and enhance customer value.
CHICAGO, IL, OCTOBER 27, 2021
As Nextpoint, the industry-leader in cloud-based eDiscovery and Litigation support software, prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary this week, the company announced that it had acquired WarRoom from LaunchPad Lab. WarRoom was launched in 2008 to address the needs of litigators by delivering a user-friendly, cloud-based deposition transcript repository. This acquisition marks the beginning of an exciting period of expansion for the Chicago-based organization.
The companies began acquisition discussions after recognizing there was substantial overlap in their user bases, resulting in the ultimate merging of WarRoom into the Nextpoint Litigation Suite. Terms of the acquisition have not been made public. LaunchPad Lab’s team of developers, designers and user experience experts continue to work with Nextpoint’s product and engineering teams to enhance Nextpoint’s Litigation Suite, as well the next generation of search interfaces in Nextpoint’s Discovery Suite.
“We’ve been thrilled to work with LaunchPad on transitioning their users to the Nextpoint software suite and have successfully on-boarded all users interested in expanding their feature set to include documents, deposition video and trial presentation features,” said Chief Executive Officer, Rakesh Madhava. “We look forward to continuing to work with the LaunchPad Lab team to broaden and deepen the functionality of our Litigation Suite.”
“Nextpoint has always been a leader in the ediscovery and litigation software space, so we’re excited to continue shaping the future of legal technology with their team,” said Scott Weisman, chief operating officer of LaunchPad Lab and co-founder of WarRoom. “We look forward to working with them to bring additional enhancements for lawyers around the world.”
Jean Casserly of Kaverny Kroll also sounded off on the news:
“I was incredibly excited to hear that WarRoom was being acquired by Nextpoint. I work with Nextpoint all the time and their support team is truly the best in the business. The transition has been seamless and Nextpoint has been great about answering all of our questions during the changeover. We are now taking full advantage of the Nextpoint suite and look forward to a bright future using their software at Kaveny + Kroll.”
