Baton Rouge Bar Association Construction Law CLE
August 22 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Construction attorneys must combine complex technical issues, facts and the law together to make a compelling presentation of their client’s case. Challenges include: How do you know which themes or aspects of the case will connect with the trier of fact? How can you break down complex subjects into digestible, compelling and engaging content to complement your arguments? The speakers will share strategies related to knowing and connecting with your audience, whether that be a judge, jury or mediator, and tools you can put into practice today, such as utilizing story-based models. They will provide practical techniques you can use for creating demonstratives for use in litigation settings.
Speakers: Wes Clark, Long Law Firm; and Megan O’Leary and Brett Burney of Nextpoint. Clark, a BRBA member, is the chair of the Construction Law Section.
CLE: This seminar qualifies for 1.0 hour of CLE credit; networking; box lunch.
